this shoot with the spectacularly beautiful Katie is the first installment of a four-part series shot in a graveyard of classic cars. Katie's graced the pages of sugartwist three times so far, and each shoot gets better and better... On a late summer afternoon, we took Katie to an old junkyard and shot her in four different outfits she put together for us... here's number one!

Multi-talented Katie has been busy promoting her clothing line i can.d, modeling in fashion shows, and finishing up her degree in interior design... Keep an eye out for issue #8, when we show the next outfit in this series...

jenny loves expressing herself creatively, and her newest outlet is breakdancing! Though she's pretty new at it, these photos demonstrate she already knows how to show a floor who's boss, and though this is not the typical breakdance attire, her rather ripped dancer's physique comes in handy no matter what. She's working on developing her own dance style, and her instructor won't let her have a b-girl name until that style is developed enough to pick a fitting alias...any suggestions?

This year has been a busy one for Chandiss! Aside from helping make sugartwist what it is, she's been working on turning 21, launching her own clothing line, shooting a music video, and laying down tracks for her just-released third CD, The Beauty of Feeling.

Chandiss' voice is her main passion, and her new album demonstrates why it's the passion of many others as well... Feeling curious? Check it out!

We affectionately call this shoot the "racer" series... sunglasses, windblown hair, more sunglasses, boots cut like a sportscar... and something like a checkered flag! Don't blink, this girl is gone in sixty seconds...

Danette's been modeling for 3 years so far, and has remained very down-to-earth about it. "I like the fact that modeling is something I do, not who I am," she says. "I'm a typical person, pursuing a dream and a career." But, still... she loves this job! "I used to be pretty shy," she admits, "and modeling has helped me get to know who I am and be less self-conscious."

The inner game is big for Danette: as a model, "you yourself can make the picture what it is... with the emotion, mood, feeling you're trying to create, when someone looks at the picture, they can feel what you're feeling. If you're not really into it emotionally, the picture will be boring!"

What does she like about these sugartwist photos? "I like knowing a lot of people will be looking at these pictures...one more step up!" Pragmatism out of the way, she waxes philosophical again: "I want someone looking at these photos to see a serious, dramatic side to me, but still soft and welcoming... inviting, but I mean business!"
